Top 5 International Places to Go in December

Thinking of a family holiday? Pack up your bags and get set on your toes to visit some of the best places worth witnessing this year. Here’s a look at the top 5 international destinations of the year.

Budapest: Start your day with a festive mood at the Christmas markets in Budapest. Keep warm on the traditional drink Palinka which comes in different fruity flavours.

Feed both body and soul with the famous Goulash soup and roast meat. When you are bursting at the seams head to the hot baths in the city. Indulge in a game of chess with fellow bathers or just lie back and relax. In the evening head out to the ruin pubs that Budapest is famous for. Start with Szimpla and let the ruined walls and lack of decor create an ambiance that no design can emulate!

Paris Museums: Too cold outdoors? Well, spend your December in Paris musuem hopping. Criss cross across the river Seine. Keep a whole day ( or two) for the Louvre. Do not miss Rodin's 'The Thinker', Monet's water lilies, Van Gogh's self portrait and other treasures. Someone wise said that you could spend a lifetime in Paris and still not see everything that it has to offer.

Kenya: Kenya holds a potpourri of adventures. Take the rift valley railways from Nairobi to Mombasa and see the African landscape change before your eyes. Go for a Safari in the Masai Mara or snorkel in the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean in Mombasa. Swim with the Dolphins, feed the Giraffes, gaze at the endless pink flamingos. Wherever you turn an adventure awaits you in Kenya.

Norway : Norway is the best venue to see the Aurora borealis. While there take a lesson in skiing, take a trip sledging with dogs or reindeers,go ice climbing or just  take the boat to Svalbard where you can truly say you went to the end of the world for no human life exists beyond Svalbard. Enjoy winter as it was meant to be!

Thailand: Beaches in December? Oh yes, head to Thailand. Use Phuket as a base to explore the Andaman coast of Thailand. Enjoy diving lessons, snorkeling , water sports  of all kinds. When you have had your fill of water, head to the shore for an Elephant Safari through the jungles. Indulge in massages and sumptuous sea food meals.
