Rediscovering love with help of Nature in Kerala

Kerala, the South Indian state with highest literacy rate is referred to as ‘God’s Own Country’. People, who have been there, know how true it is and those who haven’t yet stepped on the land of Kerala, need to explore it. With its amazing backwaters, lush greeneries, picturesque coastlines and absolute tranquility, Kerala makes a perfect vacation and honeymoon venue. From mountains to sea sides, rivers to lakes, plains to valleys, Kerala has got it all.

There are lots of things to witness and cherish in the God’s Own Country but some of the best places to visit inKerala are Vembanad Lake, the largest waterbody in the state, Cochin, the port city, Athirappilly Waterfalls, Thekkady, Kumarakom, Alleppey and Munnar.  Among these, Thekkady, Kumarakom, Munnar and Allepey are best places to visit in Kerala for honeymoon. Munnar is certainly the top name in the list. With valleys rich in green tea plants, mist floating over the green landscape and absolute tranquility, Munnar is simply a perfect venue for exploring Mother Nature and rediscover love. Thekkady is just the reverse, in terms of nature. it is famous for the  Perriyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a huge wildlife reserve.

The picturesque sanctuary is home to diverse species of floras and faunas as well as birds. A very romantic spot where you will surely like to take your ‘love’ is Kumarakom, which is a cluster of small islands floating on the gigantic Vembanad Lake. Kumarakom features a bird sanctuary that you can make a trip to on a canoe. Local fishermen arrange for the canoe trip and you will simply enjoy your time there.

Alleppey is a picturesque backwater town where the biggest attraction is staying on a traditional Kerala houseboat. Another great honeynmoon destination in Kerala is Wayanad, a land rich in flora, fauna, lush greenery, waterfalls and mysterious caves.
